    Moab Spare Parts List

I think it might be beneficial if every one bringing spare parts to Moab would write a list of the spare parts they are bringing on a sheet of paper, then collect all of those parts lists some where, so that it is available in case someone needs a part. Just a idea to save someone some time or maybe keep them riding.

That's a good idea Mel, but with time short I'm not sure how much participation you will get. Maybe in addition to this idea there can be some sort of central message board near your camp that people can post any needs on. Could have value for other reasons of communication too.

Both good idea's. I'm bringing lots of small dodad's, o-rings, fork seal, gaskets, bent stock shifter (still works in a pinch), and old footpegs just in case someone breaks there's. Brining the buyer to the seller, or taking the seller to the buyer, either way works. With the two idea's above, it could serve as a cross reference of sorts.

I'll post a list here, but also have a list down there. Or you could scrounge through the parts box!

Are you riding TW's? If so, and the bikes are properly set up, nobody will need any parts until 60,212 miles, when the cam chain shoots out the bottom of the crankcase. Maybe a couple inner tubes and the tools and knowledge to change them? If you are riding a Husky, KTM, or BMW, you'll need a chase truck or two and a helicopter to fly in the parts for which room could not be found on the truck(s). Everything else fits somewhere in the middle. Oh, BMW riders need a fire extinguisher for the driveline fires.

We can probably count on a gallon of Sea Foam being available between all of us.

True as far as mechanics. On the other hand, I have the occasional tendency to dismount the bike at inopportune times and tiddly bits get broken off. But, I carry spare hard parts for that eventuality.

I'll have a variety of nuts and bolts up.to engine mount bolt.
Look me up if anything vibrates off your bike.
