    On Any Sunday

Watching this classic again and man is it good. Question, what kind of bikes are they riding in the opening circle track sequence? Aren't they Harleys or something?

    I didn't post one.

Film was made in 1977 I think? I don't know what the go to racers of the era were. Being a young punk and all.

    Here:

Not as radical as the loops and 100 ft. jumps of today, but many of these courses were DEFINITELY NOT groomed! Classic!

I believe the bikes you are referring to are Harley sporters with the XR engine. Harley-Davidson XR-750 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They had overhead cams! They had one of these engines at MMI as a display. m.

Don't forget Cycles South in your classic line-up. There is a whole thread on here, which I can't find at the moment, where background info is provided as well as various links. The whole thing is on youtube, or you can still buy a copy.

NIIICE! I've never heard of cycles south but it'll be getting viewed after I'm done with Easy Rider.

I think the best part of On Any Sunday is the part about road racing and the foam pads on their tanks for chin rests. The only thing I don't get is how the keep their big brass balls from dragging on the ground.
