I was planning to go in Seattle. Then, I saw the dirty rats moved it down to Portland! I don't think I'll be making it down there for it, but have fun.

Having second thoughts on going to this. Not sure if I want to go see a bunch of custom bike's. Will I get to see real world bike's or is it mostly kind of a custom bike show. Sure it's some of both and that's great but I am looking to replace my all around work horse KLR to more of a street bike. Still have 2 other bike's to get me in trouble for other adventures. Should I stay or should I go. Great now I have to get that song out of my head.

It's in your town, upnovr, I would definitely go! You can find ticket discount links all over the net too. Having gone to this show in the past in Seattle, I'd say that it is definitely a mix of both. Most manufacturers will have their 2016 model year offerings displayed, so that you can check them out, sit on them and get a feel for them, question the mfr. reps, and not have to have any sales pressure. Then, there usually is a section of vintage and custom bikes on display. It's cool. There is also a lot of gear at the best price of the year so you can try on a bunch of helmets and jackets that will go with that new bike.

I would check out the newly updated Versys 650 from Kawasaki, if you are a fan of the K brand. It's always been a great all-a-rounder, but now it's not ugly as sin. It's much cheaper than the V-Strom. They came out with a 1000cc version too, if that's your thing. That's just one suggestion...have fun!

Wow, Portland. So close. Crap. And it's gonna rain. I'd prefer to ride up there, but not sure I wanna bother putting on all the rain gear, and I sure don't want to blow $30 in fuel to drive up there (diesel dually pickup), not to mention pay for parking when bike parking should be free.

    Hmm.

C'mon Rob, reconsider! We can meet each other!
Sadly, I'll be driving as well, as I'm still waiting on my rear shock for my beamer, but I'm thinking I'll go up on Saturday.
It's about time it came to Portland, I go up to the Seattle one most every year, and it's a 300 mile haul. (600 round trip.)

I always go when it's in Seattle but since it's in Portland this year and I didn't have anyone who wanted to make a road trip I decided not to go. So, those of you that do attend please fill the rest of us in on anything interesting. Take pics and share with us.

Weather permitting, I might try and attend the Jan. 22 - 24, 2016 show in Abbotsford, B.C..

Good show for for the most part but found a couple of the vendors to be totally unprepared for this event. And where the hell was Honda. Was hoping to through a leg over a couple. Didn't waist time on pic's for bikes you see all the time or can just see them at a dealer. Enjoy some bike porn. Having trouble with pics so it's a work in progress.
