I like it. Thanks for posting the pics. I've always thought about it but never followed thru. I removed the cowling stickers with my pressure washer cleaning it one day and for curiosity priced the stripes from the side of the cowling. Almost $20. That rules that out.

I did remove the warning stickers on the tank and back plastics. Have you thought about that?

i did that with my 09. i took all the decals off about a week after i got it, then got a white front fender. the black looked out of place to me.

this is it before i got my clarke tank:

and that tank warning sticker is made with some heavy duty adhesive!

Ya it does look good with the white fender. How's that Clark tank treating you, that mod is in my future.

Where did you get that fender? Me likey.

EDIT: I'm also curious about the legality of removing the warning stickers. When I got my 2009's rear fender replaced, I asked the shop not to put them on, but they said they were legally obligated. I'm hoping it's ok for the end user to remove if the bike isn't up for sale or being loaned out.

Chip, i love the clarke tank. i think it looks much better than the dinky stock tank, and i like the added capacity.

hog, i got the fender from boats.net or bikebandit, can't recall, but it would probably be cheaper if you could find one on ebay. i think it was from a 2001 model:

there are no laws that would prevent you from removing the warning stickers. dealers are probably required to have them on the bikes from the manufacturer for liability purposes. peel them off and enjoy your clean looking bike.

Lots of people ask me what it is, but I guess that's pretty normal since they are not all that common.

Great, thank you for the link. Think I'll keep an eye on ebay as well.
