I just bought a Wal-Mart ATV seat pad and when I put it on the seat the buckles were in the way and couldn’t get the seat back on does anyone have any suggestions how they put theres on?

We cut the buckle off and use shoe string to loop it onto the seat.

Some people loosen up the slack. Some cut off the buckles and connect with thin bungie material. You'll appreciate the new seat cover.

I cut off the buckles and loosely tied the straps on one side to the strap on the other side. When you put your seat back on, most of the slack will be taken out and it will fit snug. For the rear strap, I cut off the buckles and straps and used a piece of rope.

I initially had that problem but if you slide the pad a little forward, it all fits fine. See my avatar, the buckles in that position are underneath the seat and out of site.

It took me awhile to find the "sweet spot" for the cover to fit also but after a little bit of messing around with it, I got it. It's not gonna fit like a glove, it'll wiggle a little but it's a whole heck of a lot cheaper than buying a custom seat....

Just put mine on yesterday when I replaced the battery. I got rid of the snap ties and used the Dremel on the female end grinding down so just the plastic rectangle part was left. Then I threaded in a 24 inch Hook and Loop cinch strap through that. I had to remove the entire rear buckle system and go through the loop. Looks clean and fits like a glove very snug.
