I finally will be picking up a TW project. It's a few hours away, and I will be driving a 2010 Dodge Dakota. The bed length is 62". The truck doesn't have a 2" trailer hitch, just a ball on the bumper. Will the TW fit in the bed? Thanks! Mark

i haul mine in a short-bed Nissan with no tail gate and we had to sort of caddy corner it. rode 300 mile staring at it wondering if it would fall out. it didn't. not fun though.

my advice: if its too long get it strapped in with the tail gate down yank the rear tire over to one side of the bed put the tailgate up and pull the rear tire as close to center as you can. the adjust your strap until its fairly straight. i do this every time i haul my bike.

service manual say its 82 inches long over all

I figure that 72" will be plenty to accommodate the bike, so count on dropping that tail gate and you should be fine. I'm measuring from front of front tire to past middle of rear. If necessary you might even be able to shorten the bike by turning the handlebars. Travel safely. Tom
