Thought proper intros and such should be in order so howdy everybody. I've been here before when the old forum was around and find myself futzing with the Dub once again so here I am again. Well, I've owned TW's twice in my lifetime, a 95 (fruit loop) when I was around 15 and I currently own an '07 that I love to death. I hope to get my TW dialed in this year as is, cause I've rejetted it, shimmed the needle and turned the pilot screw out but I feel I need to return her to stock and tune her one mod at a time to be sure I'm at max potential as is. Soon, I plan to go with a pod filter, slap on a new exhaust (Supertrapp) and start a hollow/bobber build. Let's just say I have dreams for my TW eh? I'm madly in love with the extended swing arms and hollow mod street fighter looks! I ride 100% street just by chance really, I used to ride !00% offroad when I had my 95 in my younger years but my dad and I had to go to Indiana to trail ride then. Currently I'm running a 42T sprocket, typically I wind out first and I skip over second, then skip over fourth when I run through the gears (thoughts or comments on that welcome) it works great IMO and the bike sorta feels like a cruiser to me with this setup and riding style. I only ride city and country roads, I don't personally feel the TW belongs on the highway (IMO of course) as it feels squirrelly and underpowered. Besides, don't you prefer to take the scenic route and enjoy a longer ride? Toodles!

    current mods:

    130 main jet

    needle shimmed

    pilot screw opened up

    oversized foot pegs

    42t R sprocket

    risers

blue Jimbo's cafe shield installed (beautiful on an '07 Dub)

    fuel filter

Very soon to install Bridgestone 203 & 204 street shoes

planned mods: extended swing arm, baja turn signals, direct hits, pod filter, smaller battery

I try to be fashionably late.

    Welcome back,

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.
