Shorai (Lithium battery) "over the winter storage" suggests to disconnect the negative cable from the battery and all should be well (unless you want to buy their tender). Will this work for a start-up in spring? I store the bike in a heated basement.

Depends on the type of lithium battery, but the two types I have store quite well with very little loss of charge. I'd take the battery inside.

Shorai LFX batteries contain Shorai-proprietary eXtreme-Rate Lithium Iron prismatic cells (chemistry LiFePO4). Shorai LFX contain no poisonous lead.

So bring the bike in and disconnect the negative cable and all is well.

These batteries are new to me. Thanks qwerty
