    OEM Replacement Fender- Colors

    ...

If I order an OEM Fender, from Yamaha, let's say:

    FENDER, REAR - 10D-21611-00-00,
(which is the part number for a 2007).

What color can I expect to get?

Looks like the part number for the - FENDER, REAR
    changes, by year.

Wasn't that year blue? I would expect if you ordered by year, you would get that years color.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Yes, the 2007 was blue.
I have no experience in ordering OEM
year/color - related parts from Yamaha.

What I did not want to happen was to place
an order, expecting blue and winding up
    getting another color.

You could always ask while ordering.

Anything you order O.E.M. will be specific to your bike. I know that 99.285% of the parts will interchange throughout the years but in the case of color, it is specific to your year. While some part numbers might be the same in Yamaha's catalog, since the Fender colors changes by year (sometimes) the part number has to change for that part. Ordering something from Yamaha for your exact model will be an exact replacement. The only time I have ever ran into something different was a Honda 250R. Ordered Factory plastic tank (red) and it came in black from Honda. For some reason they quit making them After they molded a handful in Black instead of red. Guess the Black was cheaper

That is exactly what I am trying to avoid.

    Thanks.
