Here's an alternative to the $20 Coleman Stearn tank bag.

They are the QuadBoss XT Tank Bag for about $60.

    I prefer the QuadBoss because:

...it can be mounted higher and interferes less with your knees,

...the gas tank hole does not require resizing

...it retains it's shape and is easy to open/close

...and it has a padded pistol pocket.

I do not own any stock and I do not owe anyone anything, except perhaps an open mind.

Oooo i like what i see, does it secure to the tank in any way? I've been wanting a different tank bag than the one I've got now, cuz it hangs too low and flaps in the wind. Made for a Quad of course but that one looks like it fits much better.

It comes with rip & stick velcro. I felt better after attaching a quick disconnect strap over the bike's downtube.

I like 'em. I've about had it with zipper failure lately and the Stearns/ Coleman stuff barely lasted a week.

Where'd you get them, and do they have a means of tying down the bottoms?

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.

I bought mine from 4WheelOnline but there are other sources I'm sure. There are four reinforced loops on the bottom of each bag to make attatching bungie cords, et al, simple.

    QWERTY:

Constructed of "Heavy-duty 600 denier fabric with waterproof backing for extreme weather and abrasion resistance" according to QuadBoss.

Yes, your knees will nudge the back edge, but no more than with the Stearns ATV Tank Bags. I'm really pleased with the QuadBoss.

They really do look nice but why not use the magnetic tank bag? you can pick a good one for around £10-£15(~20$)

    No 'knee' problems
