    New or Used?

Hey Guys, I'm looking at a 2007 TW200 on craigslist for $2950, 2500 miles. Would there be any benefit to just shell out the $4500 for a 2017? This would be my first bike besides tooling around on xr100's a long time ago so i'm pretty clueless about yamaha.

Welcome to the forum. If it has been well taken care of and you are happy with the price, used is good! Around my area, it seems like used ones are hard to find.

used will save you at least a grand probably more and in a few weekends of riding a new TW will look just the same as a good used one and your 2007 will hold it's value for 5 years or more if you take decent care of it

Shell for a new one . I couldn't find a deal like that when I wanted one so I bought a new one on Holloween 2013 before the 14's came out for $3995 plus sales tax, title and registration fee.
Go like hell, You'll get there quicker!

I paid $3400 for a 2010 T-Dub with 2260 miles that was so clean the tire knobbies were not even dirty. To me, that price was worth it, because I adore it.

I payed $3100 for a '13 with 1700 miles but it was a trainer bike with a little character. We are using it as a training bike as well so that was not an issue.

Still looking for a second one at a good deal. It seems like anything between 2007-2013 fetches about the same money with under 3000 miles. Biggest issue to look for is if someone has really abused it, or not properly stored it causing carb to require more attention...

    Happy hunting!
