    My lowest is #130-ish.

Also have one in the 600's and one the 900's.

It would be interesting to see sales numbers over the years.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.

I have an 87. How can you tell what the production order was?

    The last 6 digits of my V.I.N. ('87) are 000355. Soooo... the 355'th perhaps? (V.I.N.: JYA2HA004HC000355)

Looks like I've got number 281 and my son has number 1126, both California bikes.

Now would these low numbers be "per country"? There had to be thousands sold in Japan before they came to THIS side of the earth.

Hard to say. Tw's were introduced in ALL markets simultaneously in '87, near as I can determine.

It's also hard to say whether "C" (Cali) models were numbered seperately from 49-state models as well. In that case there could possibly be two bikes with the same end digits.

My ownership lists the Model as "TWC". Surely this was not a California model... It was purchased new outside Toronto, Canada.

The last four digits on my 1987 are 1075. I got the original advertisement with the bike. Very cool. I should prolly try to reproduce it.
