It's just water.
It rained just a bit here in the north valley last night. That should be a good reason to ride, no?
Exactly!!! Whoohooo let's go! I'll meet you guys down by the river!
Nothing like a nice ride after a rain, especially after a period of drought. The moisture releases all sorts of interesting smells you just don’t appreciate in an enclosed vehicle, things like wet juniper and sage, moist soil or wet asphalt. Knocks the dust down too and adds nice traction to formerly dry soil.
Recent rain makes a great excuse to go for a ride.
So how was it Chuck?
Without the rain you might not have a river.
1st John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

It was great. So great. I ended up in the Sutter Bypass for the Sac river. Twenty feet off the pavement I've been traveling for 30 years, the T'Dub took me to a world I've never been. So much wildlife. So much peace. I found several fishing holes and I pondered getting a fishing license. I concluded I didn't have time to fish when there is exploring to be done.
Riding and fishing are hard to do together. One or the other always gets in the way. But if the catching isn't good you can always ride to another spot. It's just hard to stop sometimes. Both ways.
