As some of you know a member on the board, Tw2007, had been fighting cancer for some time. Some of us had noticed he stopped posting in February and stopped updating his travel blog, but as it is with forums, if someone doesn't post the news we are left wondering.

He passed away on March 13.

His real name was Michael Kraus, but we'll all remember him as Tw2007, aka Macadam Drifter, aka Back Roads Adventurer.

His obituary can be found here along with a guest book. If you knew him or followed his travels leave a comment!

His travel blog can be found here. If you havent read it, boy you are missing out!

His Tw wisdom can be found all over the board, especially on trailer posts (he had a one of a kind custom trailer).

The internet still amazes me. You follow someones travels online, reading about all their struggles and challenges. You feel like you were right there with them. You chat with them online, maybe comment on this thing or that; take some advice, give some advice. You never once talk to the person on the phone much less in person, yet you feel like you know them so well. He was one heck of an Adventurer! Mike, you will be missed.

Although I never talked to him, I felt like Mike and I had a connection. We rode the same areas and talked about traveling the same backroads in the Colockum area of the Kittitas area. He had vast knowledge of the area and his advice on which road to take helped me tremendously. He will surely be missed.

Thank you for letting us know Fort Payne. TW2007, Mike's, contributions were many. I know life goes on, but he will be missed. Goodbye Mike!

Hidden Content A ride in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact I'm dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant?

I have passed along the URL to his travel blog to my adventurous friends. I hope that we can pick up where this cool dude left off.
