I am a new TW owner and would like to start with saying this site is awesome and has been a great help with info and i've only been on it for two days. I picked up my bike last week for $200.00 bucks. It's a 1990 and I bought it from the original owner. It has been in his barn for about 10 years and needless to say it needs some tlc. Mainly cosmetics though. It runs and the transmission seems good so that is a good place to start as far as I am concerned. I am looking for anywhere besides this site and ebay that I could look for some parts such as seat, turn signals, tail light, etc. Any help would be appreciated. I'm afraid this could be the first of several TW's for me. This bike and site are exactly what I have been looking for to get rid of some day to day stress and get out and ride around my farm and the countryside. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome!

You're gonna get lots of suggestions of online sites for parts from everybody, but what about locally? Where are you? You might have someone close with parts, or a bike salvage yard nearby.

Thanks for the info. I'm in Iowa and have not had a lot of luck with any local guys that I know but I'm for sure on the lookout. I went through some older posts and found a few places that look pretty good. Really enjoy this site, it's been a great help already. Thanks again!
