Just installed an O ring chain a few days ago. Wondering what product others are using to clean n lube. This is my first O ring chain.

90 wt. when I'm home and have the luxury of letting the excess drip off overnight. Cheap house brand ATF when I'm on the road, and for cleaning. I keep it in a small travel size squeeze bottle leftover from contact lense solution. One drop per link every other tank.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.

Cleaning: Seafoam Deep Creep. Raise the rear tire, spray the stuff on, wipe off the thick stuff, second spray carries remaining crud off. Let dry.

Rust Prevention: Champion Motorcycle Chain Lube. Available at some Walmarts and select chain auto parts stores. Seems to be a modified lithium grease that stays on and does not collect crud. After cleaning, short ride to warm chain. Raise rear wheel and spin chain around, one pass on each set of side plates. Allow to work into the cracks well by spinning rear tire for several minutes. Wipe off excess. Allow to set up. Good for several thousand miles/several months of rust prevention.

Chain Maintenance Intervals: Street use: 4000 miles or 6 months, along with all other scheduled maintenance. Dirt riding: as necessary.

Ringed chains cannot be lubricated by the user.
