The TW200 is versatile. It is reliable, fuel efficient, capable, and the other day when a guy offered me a barrel of monkeys in trade for mine I said "no thanks, I've got all the fun I need right here!"

Still, as with any Jack-of-All-Trades, the T-dub faces more specialized competitors in certain areas that excel where the TW merely succeeds.

Personally, I find myself having a little more fun on road than off, so I think a Ducati Monster 796 would be my 2nd string for those days when I say forget fuel economy, speed limits, gravel, and the inherent risks of splitting lanes and cutting in line at stoplights.

Who has a 2nd bike that they love to ride, and why?

Also, who else has dreams of 2 more wheels in the stable, and just what would you like to see slung between them?

I'm just curious to see what other bikes my fellow T-Dub enthusiasts are interested in!

My secondary bike is a Royal Enfield Bullet. It's a pile of crap but it does have character.

I have a 01 sv650 naked model i bought new. Its a hoot to ride! I just put a 1/1/8 atv high fat bar on it so it feels like riding a big dirt bike. Everytime i think about getting something different i change my mind after riding a different. The sv is very good bang for the buck. You cand pick them up pretty cheap to. I really like the versys and vstrom also. It all depends on what a feller wants.

I sold my second bike after I got a TW, I didn't ride it any more.
Only a fool would attempt it, and God help me, I am that fool!

I'm hardly trying to be in the in crowd but when I want to get on the road and stay with traffic, I ride my Kawasaki Vulcan 500. Its light, cheap to buy and operate, will outrun a Sportster I'm told, and fits my needs.

Alas they were discontinued last year, but are still relatively plentiful on the used market because like the TW the same bike (nearly anyway) was produced for about 20 years. Tom
