Time for Grandpaw to have some fun! New Member

Daughters are grown and being successful. 1 granddaughter out of high school. Been so darn busy sold 10 days of vacation so I decided to pick up a TW. I am really a beginning rider so thought a TW would be a good place to start. Test drove a 2013 with less than 500 miles on it a couple weeks ago. Chain was rusty, broken turn signal indicator, broken mirror, bent foot brake, and 4 year old tires. It drove well though. If he would have had the title in his name I may have brought it home. He was going to get the title changed but after thinking about it I decided to go for more of a sure thing as I am still really busy. Picked up a 2017 yesterday, 370 miles on it. Cycle rack rack, and kick starter installed. Oil has been changed 3 times. He had quit driving it in Topeka as he had someone run into his 3/4 ton van because they did not see him and he felt the TW was to nice just sitting there as he was afraid to dive it in town. Have a family farm that has lots of cattle trails so I plan on slow riding and taking it easy to learn.

It won't be greed which destroys America. It will be envy.

Welcome. Enjoy. Good idea to take it slow while you learn. Don’t skimp on proper riding gear whether you ride on road or off road. Lots of discussions on this forum about good gear for any budget. These are great bikes to learn on.
