New to the fourm, and the new to me TW

    Hello guys,
I've been reading these forums for awhile, finally decided to post now that I have a TW.
    The story:
Got this non running 1990 TW200 in trade for a old chainsaw and mountain bike.
After rebuilding the carb, checking timing and valves, I could still not get the bike to run very well. I could forced it to start holding the starter button down with a jumpbox attached however sometimes it would kick hard and trying to start the engine backwards. It was fired the spark to early, it turned out my cdi seemed to be stuck in a full advanced state.
After replacing the cdi the bike now runs great.
My next task was to replace the headlight with a new LED headlight, this is finally working after alot of following the wiring diagrams. My headlight no longer runs off the magneto, ended up installing afew relays and a new direct feed from the battery.
After that I decided to make a new dash as the gauges were missing when I got the bike, I went with a trail tech striker over the vapor (who cares what rpm I'm pulling lol). The hardest part of the install was coming up with a good mounting location for my speed sensor since it uses a drum brake. I ended up cutting a thick piece of aluminum and jammed it into the hole where the old speedo cable was. pic attached at bottom of post. The new LED indicators I've use are still abit of a challenge. The Neutral and High beam indicator are no problem, but the turn signal indicator is posing to be a problem due to the nature of using an LED instead of a bulb. If any of you out there have a single LED indicator that indicates for both the right and left signal, please let me know how you did it.
Here's a TW pron pic for you guys and afew of the dash and speed sensor install

Welcome from NE Oregon. That dash looks pretty nice.
Where is the pic of the bike taken?

Hidden Content A ride in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact I'm dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant?

Brian, the closest member to you that i know of is John aka Elvesus, in Naniamo. there are a few more spread up island. take a look on the member's map. about rewiring your headlight, did you reroute the old headlight feed back to the battery through a diode and regulator or just dead end it?
