SO CAL ride in mid november??

    Greetings all,
Trying to connect with some socal riders for possible rides in mid november. Well be visiting friends in Forest Falls (above San Bernardino) and possibly san Jose and I would love to ride with some folks anywhere thats offroad. We hiked alot in Jtree last year and I liked that but im happy to go anywhere. Im happy to do day trips or campout and do longer trips. Happy to hook up with other riders or if you just have trip suggestions thats great too. Im from Alaska and ride and camp all winter so cold weather at higher elevations is a non issue for me. Also ill have my gopro with me so we can shoot some videos like this one.

We are going to be hanging out in Anza Borrego SP in the last couple of weeks of November. We have a good spot to ride out of. A large group could use it. A dry camp.

Could be epic if all of you got together.
Maybe coax some other southern California riders out for a day of fun together. The Tweakers have done some Group Rides and they know the area.
Another awesome video, TinyWheel. That front end really parts the waves.
Bringing your bike or will you need a loaner?

a loaner would be amazing id be super happy to throw some money toward a loaner. if that's not available my plan would be to buy a tw there ride it and then sell the forks and front wheel and rear tire etc ship I t home and build another fatty. id love to have a fatty there to ride.

if enough folks were interested we could do a little workshop on how to build a fat tire tw! any takers?

Unfortunately I am a 10 hour drive from Anza Borego and scheduled for some personal bodywork about then, surgeon says something about I need a new swing arm bushing or what-not. Otherwise trailering a few TWs down to meet and ride with the guy behind such a neat fat tired machine and equally impressive videos could be a real treat.
It was Tiny-Wheel-200’s “Beyond the Gate” video got me hooked on this forum and it’s Trails, Off-road and Adventure section years ago.

...that is unless a meeting half way could be arranged before my surgery, health permitting.
I just might know of a place almost exactly half way under the shadows of Mt. Whitney.

Shucks, would even have Betty Boop’s valves properly adjusted. They sounded horrible in the video.

I was hoping we might lure you down here what with the Diablo Drop off, etc. Feared body part replacement might get in the way.

There is some great riding around the Alabama Hills we love it there too. That could be an epic group ride sometime.

I agree! The riding, camping and scenery there can be unique. Think this video was from November.

Alas, I am likely hopelessly optimistic r.e. riding or traveling in Mid-November as I will be off the anti-imflamatories that have permitted riding last few months. At least we rode the Sweetwaters together!

If we can keep Freds shoot from the hip planning out of this, and not at Thanksgiving, I would love to meet some people at the Alabama Hills for some riding. And I certainly have the loaner that I could bring.
