Hi i am thinking of buying a XT225 Serow and convert it to a TDUB , has anyone tried to do this ? i have the body parts i only need the wheels. The Tw200 are hard to obtain here in Australia most of them have been modified by Deus and are very expensive.

You're going to need a lot more than just the wheels. The output shaft on the motor is longer and is oiled to accommodate the fat rear tire. You'll also need the TW swing arm. By the time you spend the money for the conversion, you could've imported two TWs.

But maybe someone has...theres just A LOT more to it.

If I remember correctly the TW was sold under a different model number in Australia as a farm bike.

I want to say it was the AG200 but it is only a vague memory from someone else's post on this forum.

The AG200 was similar in function, but a different bike altogether. The TW200 was imported for some time, and Deus has indeed turned a ton of them into customs that look great, but kinda take away from how a lot of us use ours.

As mentioned, though, the output shaft is longer. You should search for member Ronnydog to see how he interchanged some parts to get more displacement out of his TW. That might give you a few tips as to how you could get the XT's motor to work for such a wide tire. Study the BW series as well for an alternative way to get your power to the rear wheel.

It's always doable, just not always practical. If you have anything less than the ability to get some parts fabricated and a good garage to work in, it would probably be easier to just track down a TW.
