No, That was from another biker website but I thought it would get a rise out of some on here. Right now this week it's in the 60's, will get up to the 70's after the weekend, the winter hasn't really hit us yet but I feel for my old friends back up in NY-NJ and elsewhere that still have to deal with this.

I went out once in 30 degrees wearing a full snowmobile suit and balacava over my regular gear and was actually quite warm, it just took about 10-15 min to get suited up with everything I had on. I could ride the bike, I just couldn't walk. It's the wind that gets you, the wind-chill factor at 50-60mph is incredible. And when it's that cold, your tires have very little traction on the road - regardless of ice and snow, the rubber is so hard it just doesn't stick to the road. Never again, I'll wait 'till it warms up rather than do that again.
(Unless I had ice spikes and a large field to ride in, that could be fun.)
And I get cold just looking at that pic.

Two or 3 years ago, it was -19* out there and the street was dry, so I hopped on the TW and went for a couple mile ride. I had a tee shirt on with a hoodie, gloves and half helmet. With the wind chill factor, it was -45*!!!! It was so exhilarating, once I warmed up in the house, I went and did it again.
