Can we brag about the Happy stuff?

We are celebrating my wife's 60th birthday this weekend and probably next weekend too. It falls on Tuesday 1/9/58 so she gets a double tap this year. We met when she was 30 so she made a point of mentioning she has spent half of her life with me. I never looked at it from this point of view but it sure is right. The smile on her face and the love in her heart were worth their weight in gold.

For all you younger guys and gals out here all I can say is find true love and work to make it work. The benefits are nothing short of special. It has never been easy but it has always been winning when we put our head and hearts together to overcome all the adversities life has thrown at us. Mistakes of the past get erased when you find find the one to make it last.

I wish you all the good fortune for a very happy and very healthy 2018 and way beyond. Be with the one you love who will love you back and don't waste your time elsewhere. TW's are just a minor part of all of this but the freedom to be who each of you are is a monumental part of the equation. Get it together or get it apart in all of your endeavors or just move on. It can't work if you are pulling away from each other in opposite directions. I wasted my first 35 years and I can't get them back but together we are working on that. What you really want is a Sunday Kind of Love and settle for nothing less.

I'll turn 60 years old and married 20 years in April. It took me awhile but it's been worth it to marry my very best friend and lover.

That is fantastic GH! I love hearing some good stories every once in a while here. You two were 18 and 19 when you tied the knot and have made it through the toughest of times. Congrats to you both.

Yea got hitched 10 days after graduation. Funny we had our wedding date picked out in my wife's freshman annual. Yes people thought we were crazy. There are always ups and downs but you HAVE to want to make it work. Been a great 40+ so far.

ps: love being empty nesters. Love the kids(38 & 31) and grandkids (4) but it's our time is now. We are going to Hawaii for the first time the end of Feb. first week of March.
