After 2 years, finally got my T-DUB!!!

I'd been considering different dual sport bikes for a while, and in 2016 I finally settled on the TW200. I started posting here even though I didn't have my bike yet. I remember asking in my first thread if 87's were really faster than other years.... here's the link:

    https://tw200forum.com/forum/general-...w-yay-nay.html

Anyhoo, long story short, I'd been saving up money to buy one but something always came up. Fridge needed to be replaced, both kids needed braces, pets keep getting sick (You'd faint if you saw how much I pay in vet bills!).

So something was always eating into my TW200 savings. But I finally did it. 2 years after I decided to get a TW, I was finally able to buy this:

    00m0m_ipvPHr9Ike5_600x450.jpg00n0n_jrvDYBEiIk1_600x450.jpg00P0P_eV6oODkhBVP_600x450.jpg00t0t_2rGhGLnDJ8N_600x450.jpg00T0T_70D8prz4tzI_600x450.jpg00V0V_3EcjVpySXM3_600x450.jpg00v0v_5MqF2gkDhiO_600x450.jpg00z0z_hJ6fKJgSgY9_600x450.jpg01010_eFa786U2VwZ_600x450.jpg

It's a 2013 with 3100 miles. Got it from a very nice guy named Paul that said he lurked these forums but never really posted. It has a ton of upgrades... Shinko front tire, clarke tank, cycleracks rack, x-ring chain, windshield, skid plate, rear sprocket, high fender, and more. I paid $3500 which I didn't actually think was a steal but it was fair. But he included some cool extras... a couple helmets, gloves, tiny portable air compressor, and a nice riding jacket too... after you add all that up, I think it was a really good deal.

Basically all the upgrades I wanted to do are already done, except for handguards, larger pegs, and an oil cooler (summer here is 110 degrees).

Just wanted to share my joyous day with you guys. Here's to many more posts and miles in the future!!!!

Congratulations on your new TW. The 2013's are well known to be the fastest of ALL years.

Congrats. I know what you mean about vet bills. Our one-eyed Cocker-spaniel has an ophthalmologist. But when she’s snoring in my lap it all just seems worth it. Cheers.

And a fast TW is like a jumbo shrimp. It’s all relative

Sweet....all those upgrades without having to install them. And saved a few bucks. Worth the wait.

    Congrats.
All those upgrades and the PO still had the stock pegs? Must have been a Leprechaun.
    Nice deal.

Trail Woman just read my mind, so I'm just gonna shamelessly recycle her thoughts (with attribution, of course):
