Does your partner know about all of your purchases?

Just wondered how many people hide their spending on toys. My wife is awesome about it but I've heard the saying "my biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell everything for what i told her it cost"

Unless I paid cash, all she has to do is look at our credit card history, which we do together prior to paying.
So Linda knows 99.99% of all purchases I do.
The 0.01% is to account for some oil or a plug that I may have bought with cash.

No secrets here. Could be the reason for 35 years with no problems.

Same here. 20 years this April. Of course I was smart enough to marry a fellow tool junkie.

For many years I've tried to hide my spending on toys.....the only time it ever works is when it's one of her toys.

I figured that's how most of the guys around here are. My wife and I have been together almost 15 years. We are 32. She doesn't work other than our startup business from home. She's always said as long at the bills are paid and we have food ,spend the money I earn doing what makes me happy. I always put family first so when I do spend money on me it's a big deal and usually more expensive than she was expecting ,but she puts on a smile for me . Sometimes I get a dramatic eye roll. Haha

How should I answer this if Mrs. Admiral is also on the forum and can see this?

Kidding aside, I think my answer would resemble ejfranz's answer. If I got caught hiding something (other than flowers) I'd get throat punched or even worse.

Hidden Content A ride in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact I'm dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant?

We have an understanding simply, we both can do whatever we want with the money we each earn so long as the combined bills are paid for. She simply does not ask or care, same goes for me. We dont need to clear things with each other. She did ask me once why i have so many fishing rods, i replied with " why do you have so many different pairs of shoes?". It has never come up since.
