    trailer extention

I couldn't turn to sharp with the stock aframe the put on these trailers. I know they are made for pickups, but with an 8ft wide truck it would poke holes in the front of the trailer. Also put this carrier on for water. Will come in handy for those showers in the desert.IMG_0023.jpgIMG_0022.JPGThat extention doesn't show very well, but there is a ball on it that fits into the receiver on the trailer. By realeasing it the extention comes right off.

Wow,that is a rather clever removable device. After having your red enclosed trailer try to escape in Alaska I bet you have this one secured so it isn't going anywhere without permission.

A giant flat bed with a hoist -- why bother with a trailer?

'Cause it is no fun to cook and sleep on top of the flatbed.

Great idea - Did you make that or is it commercially available somewhere?

I have laid my bedroll on that truck and watched the stars. That steel is just not that comphy for a fellow going on 70. That small crane is great for loading TW's and my quad. The Ace weighs 850, will see how that goes. Don't always have a bank to load and unload. If there is a depression I can lift the bed thereby making the ramps not so steep. So far this system works well for me.

I built it. Thought about what I needed for a bit and started cutting and welding.

    Wow, warm invigorating sunshine!
The stock trailer tongue does look extremely short; thus the extension seems advisable for maneuvering so long a travel trailer. Nice winch on the tractor too.
