    G'day All,

Just picked up a TW200 off a farm, for a very good price.

Its not here yet, but I will go for a 7 hours drive with the trailer and pick it up.

I am sure I will have plenty of questions as I go, but really appreciate this forum and its wealth of information

Good find Pezz. Welcome to our addiction.

Just an observation, that front tire is about shot. Go easy on it to you get a new one and consider the Shinko SR244 or the Kenda. The stock tire is crap.

    Thanks for the welcome

Yes I have read they are a bit of a handful with the stock tyres

Im looking at a few options locally here in Oz too

Using a rear reversed on the front, unsure we get the Shinko's here

x2 on what n202 said. Looks like you will need to do a few things to make the bike a happy ride again. That back tire is pretty shot looking as well. The stock rear tire is an OK choice for a replacement, unless you seriously need something more & are planning to do the majority of your riding off road. If that's the case, check out the thread on ATV tires, that will help. The Kenda brand tire for your front tire is also an excellent choice, see tire threads on this forum for suggested sizes, etc. When you replace the tires, replace your tubes & rim bands (rubber spoke cover band? I can't remember the proper term, sorry.) as well, 'cause you know rubber ages, 'nuf said.

    Welcome to the forum. m.

    Welcome to the forum. m.

    Thanks M

Its much better than i thought it would be

It needs, Blinkers, battery, fork seal and fork covers, and new tyres.

I will keep reading through the info here.

I will be taking this bike out west on a fundraiser I run for Down Syndrome NSW called the Scrapheap Adventure Ride.

This year I took my XR460/4 It was a CB400/4 which I modded a bit.

    Hi Pezz,

Welcome to the forum. I really like what you've done with your Honda. You don't see too many conversions from street to dirt. First time I've seen a tank mounted oil cooler!

Looking forward to seeing the mods you have planned for the TW.

Question If I may, does the early WR250 and TW200 have the same or similar crank cases?

Saw this on ebay and it says so, but you cant always belive all you see on eBay

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Y...item336f876ade

    Part# 5UM-15100-10-YX

Please check part number before purchase to ensure this is the correct part for your bike.

    To suit:

    2005 Yamaha WR250FT WR250F

    2004 Yamaha WR250FS WR250F

    2004 Yamaha TW200SC TW200

    2004 Yamaha TW200S TW200

May also be suitable for later models.

    Congratulations and welcome Pezz.

Of course I like your TW. I also like your Honda and the trailer – that looks like a perfect bike trailer. Also liking the mailboxes in one of your photos – especially #49 that looks like it was made out of an old propane tank.

I have been to NSW once. I loved the countryside and I loved the people. What a great place.

Welcome Pezz, I'm new to the Tdub Club myself! I really like your Honda! I too can't wait to see what you do with your TW.
