    Cornshield 3 Year Anniversary Post

Exactly 3 years ago today I posted for the first time with photos, my T-Dub was just up and running with a lot of things that still needed to be sorted out and after more than 28 000 miles I'm still enjoying riding the bike every day, I'm not interested in anything else, quite frankly she stole my heart . . .

This is my favorite photo of myself on my T-Dub taken on my first long distance road trip December 2015, 4 days before this I was so exhausted I could barely get off my bike and pitch my tent after riding non stop for nearly two days . .

Congrats! I’m assuming your rebuilt motor is fully broken in by now? Cheers

Thank you bro and yes, my rebuilt motor is purring like a kitten, the bike is only burning a bit of oil if I ride hard at the upper rev range on a hot day but apart from that everything is perfect thank you

The next thing that I need to tackle is the completely worn out front and rear shocks, they are not leaking any fluid yet but they are as spongy as you can get, I gave a friend a lift on the bike yesterday and I had to be very careful when riding

Congrats on the 3 years. I don't know who burned up more miles in a year, you or the guy who went coast to coast on the tdub. You are definitely one of the high mileage freeway leaders. I've only done short freeway bursts mainly with an occasional 60 mph trip for about 40 miles. I haven't been putting that many miles on mine but I passed up 44,444 miles on my odometer yesterday.

Thank you grewen, I had a few predicaments during the past 3 years, yeah, that is the word but it was caused due to the fact that the bike was neglected before I became the owner, in the end I'm glad I was able to be patient and sort everything out!

I’ve been watching for a 1990. Every time I see your pictures, I like that green/blue more and more. Your JD green accents are a nice touch. Cheers bud.
