Summer Mesh Riding Jackets - What Ya'll Wearing?

It's gonna be getting hot real quick now. Generally, actually always, I have always worn nothing but T-Shirts, no pads, just boots and gloves but getting older now and realizing how "comfortable" it was going down recently on some very slippery clay in my cold weather gear last weekend made me do a little thinking. That and seeing all the nice warm weather gear everyone was wearing down in Green Ridge I'm thinking I'd get a summer mesh jacket with pads in the elbows, shoulders and back. I already have Joe Rocket d3o pants but haven't actually worn them yet. So I just ordered a Firstgear branded adventure mesh jacket with removable rain liner. I'm out almost every night riding, usually on the 701 doing something borderline so I figured better buck up, spend the money and pray it's comfortable. Being / feeling uncomfortable is unsafe in my opinion. But seeing what can happen (I counted 17 downed bikes last week) I figure I'm probably not invincible anymore.

So so what's everyone wearing? T-Shirts? Or Gear?

I wear a Joe Rocket mesh jacket with liner. It has served me really well and still works fine. I have never had any protective pants but am thinking about investing in some.......

The Joe Rocket pants I have are very well made, cut is great (they have short leg sizes lol). I only wore them around the back, not really on a "ride" but they seem nice. Maybe they have the match for your pants still in production.

I believe DRBob was wearing that in gray and black down at Green Ridge, it was pretty nice!

I picked up a Fly Coolpro right as the temps started going up here. I'm 6'2" at 240lbs or so, 2XL fits me great and it's nice and cool when the air gets moving. The fact that it's not very gaudy/showy was a major factor in choosing it, but was quite pleased with the fit and performance. Seems to be well made, the zippers don't suck (so far), and it has a bit of length to it to keep my ass crack from whistling in the breeze. It also includes a zip-in liner for rain or windbreaking in lower temps, but I haven't even tried it out yet.

The fly fly ones were nice looking but I couldn't find reviews in fit. I think the one you got would have been a good fit for me. Noted, in case the firstgear one is to small.

I don't wear any protective gear other then a helmet or gloves when it's cool enough. I feel like protection that limits your movement can put you in danger but now that I'm getting more into enduro I'd like a little more protection. The challenging part there is finding gear that is good for hot weather. I really don't like overheating.
