    Hello! New member...old bike! Updates...

Hi everybody! I'm new and perhaps this post is premature, but I'm exited! I just made a barter with a very good friend back east in NJ for his wife's 1987 TW200! I'm in Colorado and will be driving out there to visit the second week of June. I ordered myself a Harbor Freight hitch carrier for the trip back with the bike - reviews on it seem like it's alright, especially for $100. Anyway I'm told it needs a battery, intake boot, and new tires and tubes. I'm already reading as much as I can on this forum to become familiar with the machine. I live in South Park so gear changes and altitude modifications are surely on the way! I'm not really into social media and such, but I look forward to possibly meeting some new friends and going for a ride! Sorry no pics till I pick her up!

Keep 'em cold (the Coors, that is)

Welcome from Bel Air MD. Good luck with your new bike.

FYI HF also has an inexpensive set of magnetic tow lights. I used them until I permanently installed lights on my HF rack

Thanks for the tip TopPredator! This is my first actual motorcycle, I don't even have a license yet as this barter just came about a few days ago. I grew up with a garage full of old mini bike frames from the 60's/70's that ran on Brigg's and Tecumseh engines. I used to have to mix and match parts to get something running, figuring shit out on my own. It was FUN!!! Can't wait to ride from street to trail. I'm very excited about the project aspect of this bike - turning nuts and bolts really eases my mind and always has. I also can't seem to own any damn thing without modifying it. Think I found the right bike...

Really looking forward to starting the repair work, even more so to hitting the trails! I don't plan on asking redundant questions on this forum, however, if google can't find my answer in a search then I can't. I know I'll have to be changing sprockets and jets almost immediately. I live at 9000ft so.... But I will hold all my questions until I get the ole' gal up from sea level. Thanks for the warm welcomes.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

If this verse is true (and it is) then what does it say about Christ’s love? He died for us not when we were His friends but when we were His enemies.
