Hey Guys! New to the Forum...

Hello everyone, just joined and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Michael and I live in Boise, Idaho. Recently picked up a 2018 and am absolutely stoked on it. It is everything I have hoped for in terms of finding an adventure bike and daily commuter. I am a newer rider, got a 81' XT250 that I rode last year to teach myself how to ride and make sure it was something I was into. Unfortunately/fortunately that bike suffered an electrical short than I was never able to properly identify, I ended up selling it to get a TW. Im really glad to have a bike again and have been riding everyday. Boise has an awesome location for a dual sport and I have been exploring FS roads and slowly checking out actual trails. My main hobby is climbing, whether its rock, ice, or plastic(gym) but riding is slowly starting to take over. I am also planning on doing pretty much all maintenance and services myself, the dealership here is awful and I would prefer not to deal with them. Plus I love wrenching on my bike. Getting ready to do the first valve check and adjustment in the next week, as well as the second oil change. Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated. Any way glad to be part of the forum and will most likely be pretty active as I try to figure out all the mechanics, also looking for anyone close by that wants to go for a ride!

Welcome to the world of TW!

Air becomes exciting when experienced between grips.
My 1st TW is now 31 years old, and still running.
I enjoy it as much today as the first time I released the clutch on it.
Making fun memories is what they do!

    Welcome.
The Admirals are close to your location.
There is some great riding around Boise or a short drive away.

Welcome Mike. If you ever need help with maintenance Let me know. I’ve been able to fix almost everything I’ve managed t wreck...on the Tw haha. Also, if you ever want a riding partner now and then, let me know that too. Again, welcome.
Hidden Content A ride in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact I'm dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant?

Welcome to the forum. I sometimes ride in the Boise area due to having family over there. Some pretty cool areas.

Be sure to check out the NE Oregon Gathering thread:
