What carrier I should I get?

Just wondering what rack I should get. Sorry if I have posted this already but I don't remember if I did or not.

Versahaul is what you want or possibly an MX Hauler

What about modifying this? Kind of like an mx hauler? Thanks for the advice. I will look for one of the ones you mentioned

Unfortunately that design looks more than a little too weak for ~ 300 pounds of wet TW.
Platform also looks to be at top of travel and thus not high enough to give drooping tires adequate ground clearance.
Do you know the claimed weight limit or a link to the product?
MXHauler styles require bike both foot pegs to be firmly clamped to the carrier to work right. Rope is too elastic to work well as I found out this spring after loosing some restraining hardware left on my bumper. You really want something strong and solid.

I don't. The ad just indicates its class 3 rated for 400lbs. I would go for the mx hauler or versahaul but they are way too expensive in Canada from what I've seen. The top 2 are around $200 and the bottom 2 are $50.

Picture #3 looks to be a stock Harbor Freight aluminum model listing for ~$120US new and #4 looks like same but with a longer re-sourced ramp. They are not junk if maintained and used properly. Hitch tightener helps limit excess motion but bike itself is hard to solidly restrain in carrier. Subsequent vibration can thus lead to a fatigue fracture in the aluminum channel-like clamp that joins steel tongue with the bike holding aluminum track. A steel replacement was fabricated by someone who had this crack in the aluminum.
All mild steel construction is much more ductile and thus more vibration tolerant. Nothing wrong with a used carrier if inspected with a critical eye prior to purchase.

One seller used it once and other seller used it twice. I guess I can take a look and inspect them closely. I would definitely get the weak points you pointed out reinforced.
