    TW225 discontinued?

I don't see it on the https://www.yamaha-motor.co.jp website anymore. What was the last year? Did it ever get EFI, out of curiosity?

I know for a fact they were still producing in 2007, but I think that was the last year - and, no, they never did get EFI ......

Two of my neighbors were interested in my TW 200 but were concerned about the 55mph top speed....so they bought the 225 and still regret it ...they really are different bikes on the backroads...

Probably thinking of a different model that is 225cc; since they don't sell the TW225 here.

And unless I am mistaken - for those that don't know; the OP here "ChopperCharles" -- was the person that originally started this TW200 Forum. Hello, and thank you!

From each other....I have never ridden one, but neither of these owners/riders had done much riding on the dirt/mud/snow.....according to them, the 225 was fine on smooth stable surfaces, but more difficult to ride than the 200 on loose and rutted surfaces.....I usually have two or more 200s so if one was available they would ride it rather than their 225s....might have something to do with the big tires and lower seat height....

I have both bikes– and other than the road tires, found the difference was insignificant other than the Serrow engine

Same seat height as the 225 – so what bike are you talking about ? - the TW225 has the same frame - same wheels .....

    No worries

Take a read of this thread https://www.tw200forum.com/forum/tra...ngs-count.html which compares the TW200 with the TW225 over the same ground ......

It probably looked like I didn't know what I was talking about.....and the reason for that is that....I didn't know what I was talking about.....I didn't even know there was a TW 225.....there were just the two Yamaha dual sports at that time....my bad
