    gas bottles

    Has anyone tried or used the MSR fuel bottles as an extra fuel reserve??

    Yes, these are commonly used for carrying extra fuel.

    Yes. I built some canisters out of 3" PVC pipe to haul them. Gave my bike that "Rocket propulsion system" look.0815181607_HDR_1552322015145.jpg

    I was wanting input before i bought them. they are cheaper than a new clark tank.

    I put some slip-on caps on one and glued the end cap on the other end and then drilled through the cap and the pipe and use the cotter pin with a cinch pin so the bottle slide right in cap them off and they don't go anywhere.

    It didn't take me very long to make the jump to a Clarke tank. I like peace of mind so I still carry extra fuel with me 🙂

    large Clark xt 350 tank and a 1.75 roto…….. >500km range, never tested to full range. I carry an msr bottle full of engine oil.
