Hey Dwight,. These claim to be good for 99 up...I was not even aware there was a difference in levers pre 01.

Hope all's well and we need to ride again soon!

LittleTommy once posted a link for the shorty levers for drum brake equipped TWs. Maybe he can re-invent the wheel, or recall the link. It was an Amazon offering listed close to the shorty levers for disc equipped TWs.

Sorry Fred I do not remember.

I wouldn't think so, gosh that was back in 2015 or earlier.
Figured teasing LT might cause someone more knowledgable to help out...something like "Gee, why aren't they using a cross reference guide? All them levers and "perches" were the same for drum brake equipped models such & such from this span of years, etc". Boats.net used to have a cross-referance link back when they dealt with Yamaha Motorcycle parts. Don't know a replacement information source these days.
Do remember my KDX & YZ levers were interchangeable but that was years past when I still had hair.

Apparently, ASL makes quality short levers that will work for the drum brake models. Post #4 by ixel..

Too pricey for me right now but I'm headed in that direction, myself.
