Who else rode today? I did a little riding. Left early ,but on the way home all the crazy people started to come out. I almost saw a horrific accident right in front of me. A cyclist riding his bike almost taken out by a person making a left hand turn not paying attention. He was yelling hey hey and still the woman in the car saw him and continued. It was close.

I rode to work this morning. I took the long way through Deals Gap and back then across the Foothills Parkway. It was a great commute today!

Did a 20 mile poker run. Met another TW rider. It was a great time.

Weather was beautiful which on the weekends brings out the kamikazes so I postponed my ride until late in the day -- a quick one up to Skyline Blvd and back home. Only 25 miles round trip but it was sweet.

Put a new battery in and went for a ride. Been about six weeks since last time.

Stopped at a couple of cycle shops. Checked out some summer armor. Bought a new helmet.

Gonna get some more miles in tomorrow. Unseasonably warm for this time of year here in Georgia.

I haven't ridden my TW much this week, but that doesn't mean IT hasn't been ridden!

A friend of mine trailered his '77 HD Shovelhead chopper out here on it's way to a complete rebuild in a different desert city, and on his Tucson stopover he rolled it out to experience some desert highways and byways in it's current form. We did one nice ride with me and the Mrs. 2-up on my KLR leading my pal on his HD and his gal riding my (incredibly generously offered!) TW. She (his she, not mine) is a former MX racer, so I could at least rest easy that my TW was in experienced hands. Hell, in all honesty she was probably the most experienced motorcyclist who's ever ridden my TW!

The next day my pillion passenger was at work, so the other three of us took a nice 80 mile desert ride in the 90 degree heat!

My two enduros and the '77 HD at Gates Pass.

Never had a good photo op of both of my bikes at a tourist attraction before! I did successfully fight the temptation to steal her vintage gold sparkle helmet, no matter how apropos it looked hanging from my TW!

If it counts, I did ride my TW to the store for some corn tortillas that afternoon just to make sure everything was alright!

I took the scrambler offroading and finally found its limits with a bent brake pedal. Great on logging roads, washed out single single track, not so much. Still a good time.

I installed a richochet skid plate and tusk hand guards on TW #3 yesterday, then took it out for about a 20 mile ride. Pretty Brisk, only 41 degrees here yesterday!
