Were I younger, stronger, and a better rider, this looks like a great summer job

Knowing that this is an actual job that somebody out there gets to have almost makes me happy enough to counter-balance how sad it makes me that I am not that somebody.

Is this how that guy from the Dos Equis commercials spends his summers?

It's not widely publicized and in most cases you won't be payed, but the USFS and many state agencies have what amount to "reservist" opportunities. More of an "eyes and ears" thing than actual enforcement, but ivolvement definitely has its perks if you volounteer to patrol the trail system.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.

I am about 45 years to late for a job like that.

In the interview I would let them know that I wouldn't ride anything but my own T-Dube? Maybe they would pay me mileage? If I was still in college, I would be doing everything I could to get this summer job...
