    There's a relatively cheap tri moto 225 for sale in my area has anyone considered this for a swap rather than the ttr225.

    Trimotos are shaft drive. It is possible that they already have a long output shaft but I've never investigated.



    IIRC transmission gearing was a bit steeper in a couple of gears but pretty much everything which pertains to the TTR/XT swap should apply to them and also the small Yamaha quads which also share the same basic motor.



    I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

    Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.
