Another One Bites the Dub !

I've been thinking about a TW off & on for a few years.
The BigWheel vids on YouTube were usually the cause.
Have been watching for a good used one; they don't come around very often.
Missed an interesting one a couple months ago cuz I was in Africa & it sold by the time I got back.

Last year I used a Scorpa TY175F in the snow & although it was OK, I was thinking about a 250F to replace it for this winter.
Last week I was reading about the new 'fat-bikes' that mountain-bikers are using in the snow & had a eureka moment.
(you can see where this is going, can't you?)
So some research on TW's led to this forum.
You guys have done some fantastic development and answered most of the concerns I had about the lil TDub.

This morning I phoned my local Yamaha dealer, talked to a nice gal there who said that they didn't have one but she volunteered to search all the Yamaha dealers to see if anyone had a '12 or '13 TW200 on hand.
Half hour later she called back: no luck. Nobody in western Canada has a '12 or '13 TW.
    But.
There are 2014 TW200s in the crate in Vancouver.
Bought one, it'll be here in 10 days or so.

need to do more reading about tires.
Have a 110/100-18 IRC M5B c/w GripStuds sitting in the garage; I think that will work for a front tire in the snow.
Might be pretty square profile, though.
Dunno what to do with the rear yet.

A few of us TW riders use tire chains. I just installed tire chains on my TW the other day. This will be my 3rd season using tire chains on my rear tire for snow and sometimes mud. Since I leave the chains on almost all winter, I take the tire off too install the chains and then use the rubber tensioners on both sides to cinch it tight.

Hidden Content A ride in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact I'm dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant?

Great picture! I bought a set of tire chains at the thrift store a while back - I wonder if they will fit.....give them something else to do besides collect dust in the garage. I knew I bought them for a reason.
