I got my elk a few days ago in Montana at about 8 am and at 8200 feet. I backpacked it down off the mountain and about 2 miles through the thick timber to the end of a single track trail. That’s where the TW saved me about 8 miles shuttling a lot of meat on my very tired legs. I was by myself, so I was very thankful to not have to carry the heavy loads any farther then necessary.

I took my daughter to ride so she could get more practice in. I am trying to get her comfortable enough so she can take the MSF course and get her MC license sometime within the next couple of years. I don't know the temps but I would have to say they were perfect. Not too hot, not too cold, just right. She is riding pretty good. Maneuvering, cornering, swerving and braking pretty well. She had a good time.

Hell yeah, Gastone! Today I rode over to the storage unit and paid the bill. But more importantly - I popped the factory 114 main jet in the '87 as I am heading down to 5000ft tomorrow. I'll be out on the TW scouting for my good friend's Pronghorn tag in two weeks. Also camping out at Pueblo Reservoir with plans to stay up late and pull some nice catfish for the deep fryer!

Post work ride on the first day of Autumn. Mother Nature delivered - clear blue skies, warm temps (upper 60's), light breeze and spectacular fall colors. Made a loop on some of my favorites roads (paved and gravel) in the Duluth area out to Jay Cooke State Park and Hwy 210 and then back to town. Perfect Duluth Day on a TW200!

Bright and sunny out there right now, but a bit cool at the moment at 39*, although it will warm up nicely today into the 50's.

Taking the scooter in today for a oil filter and oil change. Does it need it? Not according to the book. I'm doing it for piece of mind. This is a fine Italian scooter and it got a oil change at 1000 miles and it doesn't require one next until 10,000 miles!!! I'm just not used to that!! It's still pretty clean. The valves don't even get inspected until 40,000!!

I just turned over 5,000 miles the other day. This things going to last forever. I'm also putting in a new plug and spark plug wire.

    Keep riding littletommy!

I met Adam-in-Nevada up on the mountain last evening for a bit of night trail riding. Caught the tail end of sunset colors over a nearby lake while cruising some 30 dirt road miles. Temps fell of course as evening deepened and elevations climbed. A little cold on the way home...we both agreed another layer would have been nice.

Don't know how many of you experiment with night trail riding but I really enjoy it. Good way to justify the expenditure for those of you who have invested in after-market lighting. I say give it a try.

    Well Gang,
Snuck out just a hair before sunrise, (Mama's still sleepin') and, cruised around the town a bit and, headed out to our little island here in Lake Havasu. Temp hovered around 72-74, depending on how close to the water I was. But, as you can see, I got a couple of pics almost at sun rise. I wanted just a silhouette but, it was already too bright. Oh well, it was still a fun little jaunt around town and out on the island. As usual, the bike ran like a top.

Took a little 30 mile round trip ride this afternoon out to a buddy's house. Temperature was 69, and the world was at peace. Thanks, TW!

Rode into work today. The weather is super cool, so it's a nice break from our 90° weather! I usually take a ride during my lunch break, and then again after work. I'll be heading to the Harvest Classic Vintage Motorcycle Show in the morning with a local group of riders, so there will be a lot of riding between today and tomorrow. Hope everyone has an excellent and safe weekend!
