Interesting video on extreme enduro technique.

I like to think I'm a pretty damn talented off road/dual sport rider. But this video has some awesome techniques that I think even expert level riders could benefit from thinking about and practicing. Riding up to a log almost parallel, stopping next to it and putting your right leg on it, then wheelying the bike up and pivoting it over the log and to your right, via your planted right leg, for example... not something I have much experience with at all on account of never having previously owned a bike really even capable of pulling up a decent wheelie in a situation like that. All that will change when I finish building my KLX 331S Next time I go out for a dirt ride, I'll be practicing wheelie-pivots (VERY useful technique for enduro/trials riding). I mean I have done this on occasion in some situations with my DR200, but never really used it specifically as a consistent technique before. Of course it will help to have a motor with some torque!

***EDIT: Ok sorry about forgetting to put the video in here... Here is the link to the video (thank browser history for being able to find the link lol).

Yes, the wheelie-pivot can be very usefull like on a tight uphill switchback or while aborting a failed hillclimb attempt before bike looses all momentum. No log in these situations, just body english, but principal is the same.
Thanks for sharing technique, it is a good skill to have in our bag of tricks.

Lol wow, my bad on the no-link...now to see if I can FIND that video again. haha.

By the way, while I'm on the subject... There are some amazing extreme enduro/hare scramble videos on Youtube. Some terrain that is absolutely insane and awesome. Absolute MONSTER hills, super gnarly rock crawling, steps, logs, you name it. Some of these guys like Johnny Walker and Grahm Jarvis are unbelievably skilled in this type of terrain. On YouTube, look up things like "Erzberg Rodeo", "Hells Gate Hard Enduro", and "Red Bull Romaniacs". Some of the nastiest (most awesome!) terrain anywhere in the world on those "courses". In one of these events, something like 1,500 riders reportedly tried-out, 500 made it in, and IIRC, only SEVEN even FINISHED the "race"! Seven out of 1,500. EXTREME is no joke in this case.
