    Camp Chair Recommendations?

I'm looking for advice on folding camp chairs, specifically something that folds up or collapses small enough that it's not burdensome to carry along on a bike.

I used to have one of those collapsing barcaloungers with the cup holders and footrest for the backyard or car camping, but that bad boy only collapsed down to about 8"x4'. Not exactly ultralite!

I have a crazy creek chair now, and it certainly meets the compact requirement but it's sorely lacking in the comfort department. I've looked at those collapsible three-legged stools as an alternative, but without a backrest I can't imagine they would be much more comfortable than the crazy creek. Maybe I'm wrong?

I've got soft bags on the TW and clamshell panniers on the trump so I can't sit on either like you can on the aluminum top-opening boxes.

Any advice from folks who have a packable camp chair they're happy with?

I am currently using the Joey Chair.... BestRest Products, LLC - Joey Chair

I actually bought it while at the Touratech Rally where they were offering a special rally price of $50.

My opinion is still forming since, one of the plastic molded pieces failed the third time I used the chair. I will say that Best Rest went above and beyond responding to my email by telephone early the morning after I sent the email. They overnighted a new frame so I could take the chair on my trip down the Oregon coast.

So far the chair (second frame) is performing well.

I did glue the feet on since a couple came off in soft dirt.

This chair packs nice and small and ssembly is a snap.

I use a Monarch ALITE chair when I am trying to stay a minimalist. It only has 2 legs, you use your legs to balance it. Once you get used to it it's pretty comfortable for the size. It is very easy to put together and packs very small.

I'm using the same thing. It's actually really comfortable to sit in if you don't mind being somewhat low to the ground. Packs really small as well, I carry it in my backpack along with my DSLR camera and Nalgene bottle when I go hiking and still have some room in the main pocket.

I had a Monarch Alite chair, but it was tough to get out of. Fun for drinking games, though! I broke down and bought a pair of these instead.
