    Now this man gets it

I'm not much of an " off-topic " guy, but this man gets it, and I wanted to share.....take a minute and watch, it may restore your faith, at least for a while....

I had a dream. It died along with reason in the late '60s.

    It was impossible anyway.

It won't be greed which destroys America. It will be envy.

I Loved his passion and eloquence but I do doubt he ever believed that the equality he sought would ever be attained. What do you think he would have to say about the current state of affairs in regards to racial equality?

    "The Trees"

There is unrest in the forest
There is trouble with the trees
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas

    The trouble with the maples
(And they're quite convinced they're right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light
But the oaks can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made
And they wonder why the maples
Can't be happy in their shade

There is trouble in the forest
And the creatures all have fled
    As the maples scream 'Oppression!'
And the oaks just shake their heads

So the maples formed a union
    And demanded equal rights
'The oaks are just too greedy
We will make them give us light'
Now there's no more oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
    By hatchet, axe and saw

No, equality of which Dr, King spoke will never be attained. Created equal is merely a starting point. Dr. King knew a healthy economic system would stimulate people to unequalize themselves, but that message probably still wouldn't be accepted by unknown baby daddies who still have the smell of SNAP cards on their breath.

Dr. King would have put Jackson and Sharpton in their places long ago, and would have let Farrakhan continue with his idiocy because such speech makes those who can stimulate change to think, "Thank God for Dr. King." Then he would have slapped his daughter for preaching Black Liberation Theology. Read Dr. King's books to find out what an interesting man he really was.

People are far too ignorant and unintelligent these days. PEOPLE..not black, not white, but both. Not all of us but there sure are a lot and they tend to crowd up in the front and represent the United States. And "these days" is all I know. I wish things were better. But most of the kids I know have a serious lack of parenting. They literally do whatever they want... With their parents right there! Not to mention the rising drug problems in the US. And it's not like our government is corrupt.... Right? Everything is just fine in DC...

    --- Psalm 23 Verses 4-5 ----

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil,
for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed
my head with oil; My cup overflows. (New American Standard Bible)
