This One Is For The Dryden T-Dub

Tom has spent time under a canopy so maybe I can tease him with this. Enjoy, lace up your jump boots and keep those knees bent.

Pretty cool videos for sure. Any canopy you may find me under would have to be better suited for "lift". That narrow front to back design is far better for forward velocity but wanting in the lift category. Also in the last video where he crashes you may not be able to tell, but he is constantly descending at a pretty decent rate. Cold air at high altitudes requires more canopy! Seems to me these chutes are designed to propel you forward at a velocity I am not cool with! Unless I have some sort of frame around me

That was a brilliant come-back littletommy! A flying hog, who would have thought....
Yeah Tom those speed riding paragliding rigs are built small for speed, not lift. Totally different requirements than what is needed for an airborne troop and his 100+ lbs of gear I imagine. Just thought you would have an appreciation of speed and risks entailed in the extreme sport.

Fred, funny thing is I have never considered myself as daring. Yet I have parachuted, bungee jumped, slack line rappelled, helocast, taught field expedient demolitions classes etc. I think my life has been a series of decisions based entirely around not wanting to miss out on new things. Long story short I would likely strap my ass under that over-sized sports bra and run like hell down hill After all it isn't the fall that kills you it is the sudden stop at the bottom.

"over-sized sports bra" - now that is down right poetic, quite the flair with the english language there Tom.
Now me, I'm such a civilian dummy that I thought Helocasting was some fancy sort of rotor-head fishing technique.

Photoshoped but cute. Here is a real helecasting Ranger. Still looks like some form of bait-casting fishing technique to me.

Funny story Fred, that picture is actually of ME practicing catch and release. Hopefully the little guy has grown some since that day
