Originally it was called The Destruction of the Tea at Boston.
Worth noting that today 241 years ago about 130 very brave men who were
willing to place the cause of Liberty before their own safety and security
(including Sam Adams) donned Mohawk indian disguises and proceeded to dump 342
chests of tea into the harbor at boston. It was a protest against the Tea Act
and was one of the events that eventually led to the american revolution, and
later the birth of a nation that would set free a large part of the world, and
oppress and enslave the rest of it. Read more about the event here.

Over a year earlier, Rhode Islanders attacked and burned the Customs ship HMS Gaspee. It was British plans to prosecute the perpetrators - whom they never were able to identify- in England rather than in Rhode Island, that lead to the formation of 'committees of correspondence' throughout the 13 colonies.
