    What's for dinner?

    I'll go first:

I received a gift certificate for a local artisan smoke shop (the kid knows me). I just picked up 3 pounds of the most wonderful Andouille sausage I have ever tasted. 1 pound is being sauteed with onion and will go into my black beans and rice.

    What are you making?

Actually, it was pork chops with homemade bbq sauce (styled after the superlative sauce from the Tunnel BBQ in Windsor), homemade coleslaw, cornbread and in a bit, a slice of pear pie.

Absolutely. I will make it easy on you and tell you Guinness goes well with Creole food.

I had Chinese buffet for lunch, still full. That's usually the meal of the day when I go there. Usually a soda and/or a sweet later on in the evening.

Pear pie? That sounds pretty good.

Tonight was grilled chicken breast with melted fresh motzarella and roasted red peppers on fresh Callandras semolina, with balsamic, sandwiches.
