    Now That's a 4WD Clark....

Love this old 1920s promotional film from Dodge....this thing could go through more than our mighty TWs or a Jeep Wrangler it appears:

That was great Hoot! That terrain would have given my Toyota 4x4 a run for the money. Now I remember why I have the "love" in my love/hate relationship with Dodges. Many thanks Hoot. Those old boys could really push the envelope on what a horseless carriage could do.

Always fun driving something someone else has to pay the repairs on.

I am thinking the weight of that truck is around 800 pounds the way the guys turned it over.

Chains on the rear wheels makes a huge difference. Lots of ground clearance, skinny tires to sink down to solid ground (hopefully solid) and maintaining momentum. Dang, it sure looks like fun! I wonder if the differential was differentiating? Or was it a solid live axle? And rolling it over and then driving away was almost unbelievable. Now a days a rolled car is junk.
Long live the internal combustion engine!

Ona 4wd vehicle in mud or snow, Chains on the front wheels are more effective to get you out of trouble.

Appears to have the exact same cushy ride as my old Samurai did. There's a lot to be said for thin, cookie-cutter tires that get to the bottom and bite....provided there IS a bottom.
