Is it thick or thin? I'd sew some kevlar panels in it.

Yea Z, I'm on the 5 year plan w/ NRA, they take your hard earned and send it to China for our " trinkets ". They sent me a knife w/ a huge NRA on the side, absolute crap.... Every time I donate, and every month after, they call trying to get more dough out of you. I'd MUCH prefer they keep the money for lobby than send it to China for crap.....JMHO

I sometimes feel like they spend all my dues trying to get more out of me.

I'm a firm believer in our constitutional rights and believe they be held in the highest regard. With that being said, is there an alternative to what I could imagine to be an alternative beauracracy that might be the NRA? I'm not a member but I am contemplating it.

There are alternatives, but none with the shear lobbying power of the NRA, and quite frankly that's what it takes in Washington anymore to be effective.

I've been an NRA 'lifer' for years and they still send me packets of information asking me to join as an annual member, but I don't think we'd have the firearm freedoms we're enjoying today without them. They remain the most bang for your buck when it comes to stopping unneeded and unwanted legislation.

Yeah, I get the annual member stuff too even though I've been a life member for decades. But I also get some thing they are doing now, I can't remember what exactly they call it, but it's like life plus or something. Near as I can figure if you send them more money you will continue to receive you copy of the American Rifleman in the hereafter.
