    Borneo

I found this Bearcat and single six comparison photo online. 10941347_10204593759516022_457487494_n.jpg 10884038_10204593756475946_1428394229_o.jpg

That's a pretty significant size difference. My understanding is that the Single Six has a smaller main frame than the Blackhawk, but the grip frame is the same. The Bearcat however is smaller all the way around and has an integral grip frame. I have never personally held a Bearcat, I will have to hunt one down in a store somewhere and check it out. Single actions don't enjoy much popularity around here anymore. Heck, even the DA revolvers are hardly represented in the local stores anymore. Thanks Z.

My Christmas present to myself. 1962 unconverted 3 screw single six. Can't get enough of it. Probably the most fun gun to plink with I've ever owned. Reminds me of my Harley - antiquated , slow, underpowered and lots of better choices. Guess that's why I love it (them) so much.

Z, you can create your own art too. Power Custom makes a brass grip frame for the Blackhawk/Single Sixes. Power Custom Colt-Style Grip Frame Ruger New Model Single Action Brass

The neat thing about the Power Custom frames is they are Colt configuration, which means you get the classic Colt feel to the handle. It also fits the plethora of custom Colt single action grips available...and I mean truly a plethora. I've seen those grip frames for a bit less than Midway's $229, but that's pretty much the going rate.
