Its just a tad too early yet here in the Kalkaska area...and real dry. The little bit of rain we got last night didn't even soak the leaves. I found enough to smother a campfire grilled strip steak but that's about all so far...yummy though.

We Head of to the Mesick Area early tomorrow...not afraid of finding Snakes, this guy we came across back in 2011 near Boyne, Michigan, on our annual hunt....looked mean, but it was just a harmless Hognose Snake...but he did smile for me when I snapped this shot...we used to camp, like back in 2008...but now days we stay in a Hotel in Caddy, and mushroom hunt during the day and hit the brews in style at night Rick, Clint, and Hoot, we have known each other since High School and went to college together in Athens, Ohio, and dormed at the infamous College Inn....which I'm sure became "infamous" in part thanks to the Celina guys, including "Montezuma" Nick:

Hopefully we find a few Morels...but if not the weekend should be a good one regardless...
